[続報] HSBC香港のSmartVantage口座のリモート復旧。

先日判明した香港上海銀行(HSBC)の口座凍結について、続報が来ました。

香港に訪問せず、口座をリアクティベイトする方法について、ガイダンスがありましたのでメモしておきます。

1.普通預金口座→当座預金口座に入金依頼するため、小切手にレターを添えて香港HSBCへ送付。

2.当座預金口座から小切手を振り出し、決済されると、確認のレターが自分の登録住所に届く。

3.それにサインして香港HSBCへ返送する。

4.口座復活。

私は当座預金口座には残金がないので、小切手(Cheque)を振り出せない。そのため、事前に口座間の振替指示レターが必要とのこと。それで当座預金に入金され、それを原資として小切手が決済されると。しかし手元に小切手帳がないな…ってことで問い合わせ継続中。今月香港を通過するのに、営業時間内に滞在する予定がない。無念。

(追記)モンコック支店だけ、20:00までやっているみたいなので、訪問できるかも。

非常に丁寧な説明メールで、小切手を郵送する際のレター文例まで付けてくれています。サービスのレベルが高いなと改めて感じさせられます。

Since your account has been inactive, ie without any credit or debit transaction, for more than 24 consecutive months, it is now under inactive status. Since your SmartVantage HKD Current account has zero balance, before issuing the cheque, you are required to transfer the required funds to this account first. Therefore, please mail us your instruction letter as well as your cheque. For your reference, I would like to append the letter sample below.
