そんなこんなで、最近HSBCのことを調べる機会が多かったのですが、いつのまにかHSBCのPower Vantage口座が、HSBC Advanceという名前に変わっていました。もちろん単に名前が変わっただけではなく、新しいものとしてHSBCは大々的に売り出しているようです。
当初は特に興味が無く、Smart Vantage口座を維持できればいいとだけ思っていたのですが、HSBC Advanceのサイトを読んでいくうちに、HSBC Advance Visa Platinum Cardというクレジットカードが年会費無料（Advance口座等維持が条件）で申し込めるということを知りました。
このカードのデザインがなかなか良いので、興味を持って、申し込めるかどうかについて問い合わせてみました。すると…
・HSBC Advance口座を保持している香港在住の顧客は原則として申し込める。
・香港在住でない顧客は、必要な項目が記載された香港の企業からの雇用証明レターが必要となる。
ということで、香港に住んでいないし、永住権も持っていない私は申し込むことができないように思われます。ただ、Webにはこのクレジットカードの申し込みも可能だと書いてあるような記事も散見されるので、実際はもう少し他の手が有るのかもしれませんね。こちらも小切手帳の件と合わせて、検討していきたいと思います。
We would like to inform you that all HSBC Advance customers, who are Hong Kong SAR residents and aged 18 or above, are eligible to apply for this card. HSBC Advance customer is offered a permanent annual fee waiver on his/her HSBC Advance Visa Platinum Card as long as he/she maintains his/her HSBC Advance account with us.
If the applicant is not a Hong Kong permanent resident, a company employment letter certifying the applicant's full-time employment in Hong Kong will be required. Normally, the employment letter should include the position, salary and the duration of the employment. Meanwhile, the minimum annual income requirement for our HSBC Advance Visa Platinum Card is HK$250,000.
